Which Scheme Is Right for My Organisation?
I need charging for public sector staff and fleet
The Workplace Charging Scheme WCS applies to all public sector employers. From 1 April 2026 it funds up to £500 per socket, with a maximum of 40 sockets (£20,000) per applicant. State-funded education institutions receive an enhanced rate of £2,000 per socket. The WCS is also available to businesses charities and third-sector bodies. To buy and install charge points under the WCS, your organisation must use an OZEV-approved installer.
I am a local authority wanting public charging infrastructure
The LEVI Fund is the main capital programme for local authorities wanting to procure and install public EV charging infrastructure. Available across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, funding is allocated per financial year based on local need and a strategic plan submitted to Innovate UK. Blink Charging supports local authority LEVI bids and delivery. Contact our public sector team for support.
I want to install on-street charge points for residents
The On-Street Residential Charging Scheme (ORCS) funds local authorities to install charge points on residential streets, helping residents without private off street parking or dedicated off street parking access home-speed EV charging. Street parking spaces are converted to EV charging bays. ORCS covers up to 75% of the cost of capital works, across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
