What Makes LEVI Applications Successful?

Starting your LEVI journey or already well underway, Blink Charging can provide some insight to help your potential LEVI application approval

  1. Clear Need Statement: Backed by local data, including charger density and off-street access gaps.

  2. Strategic Fit: Aligned to net-zero plans, local transport policies, and clean air zones.

  3. Commercial Viability: Including realistic co-investment models and revenue forecasts.

  4. Scalable Infrastructure Design: Designed to meet current demand while allowing future upgrades, including faster chargers and integration with smart energy features like solar support.

  5. Stakeholder Support: Internal alignment and third-party letters of support.

  6. Cohesive Delivery Plan: Structured timeline, defined KPIs, risk management.

Well-structured applications not only attract LEVI capital but often unlock other EV charge-point grants through regional or match-funding channels.

Government Backed Funding

The Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (LEVI) funding programme, a multi-year initiative backed by £450 million in government support. It ensures that every Local Authority, regardless of size or location, can deploy accessible, future-ready EV charging stations.

This national effort has been further reinforced by a new £63 million government funding package announced on 13 July 2025.

How the Funding Works

  • Eligibility: All Tier 1 authorities in England are eligible.

  • Funding Pot: The LEVI scheme represents one of the largest commitments to local EV infrastructure funding in the UK.

  • Three-Stage Process: Local Authorities move through a structured path.

  • Typical Award Size: Ranges from £500,000 to over £7 million.

  • Governance: Oversight is provided by the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV).

What Our Customers Are Saying

Easy to install. I am an electrician so installing was simple. Looking at it from a non-expert eye extremely simple and laid out correctly. Simple to use, no crazy advance interface just plug in to my car and boom it works.

Pretty honest company. When you call them, they will tell you the rate of charging and let you know if it is a good deal or not. These are in my apartment complex and lady was nice enough to state their charging is a bit more than others, but the rate is set by our apartment complex.
